QUANTUM COMPUTING
In this course you will learn the basic concepts of quantum computation and some of the most impactful quantum algorithms.
It is recommended to have a good basic knowledge of linear algebra and probability theory to take part in this course.
Lecture:
Wednesdays, 14:00 - 16:00 in room MA 043.
Lectures take place from the 15th of April to the 15th of July 2026.
Exercise:
Mondays, 14:00-16:00 in room BH-N 128.
In the exercises, the material covered in the lecture is reinforced through practice problems and review.
Exercises take place every two weeks from the 27th of May to the 6th of July 2026.

Note that the 25th of May is a public holiday in Berlin, so there will be no lecture.
Admission to the course:
There are no admission limits to the course.
Exams:
There will be a written exam (you need to pass one of them):
- First exam: Wed., 29. July, 14:00 - 16:00 in Room H 3010
- Second exam: Wed., 07. October, 10:00 - 12:00 in Room H 0110
The grade of the exam will determine your final grade.
If you fail the first exam, you can try again in the second exam.
Also, it is possible to only take the second exam, but then there will no further try until next year.

You will be able to review your written exam on these dates:
- Dates will be announced after the respective exam.
Office hours:
Mondays, 12:00 - 14:00 in Room EN 309 (only during the lecture period)
