This block seminar is intended for students in their advanced BSc or MSc studies. Prerequisite is some knowledge about solving PDEs numerically, for example by having taken the course Numerics for PDEs. Depending on the preference of the participants, this seminar will be held in English or German.
Topics include:
- "classical" methods for solving PDEs, e.g., based on FD, FE, FV, or DG schemes
- as well as hybrid methods that are based on replacing specific parts of the schemes by neural networks.
