The Applied Security Lab is a hands-on, entry-level course that explores the security and privacy of IT systems. It provides an introduction to practical system security and serves as preparation for later advanced lab courses. The focus of the lab is on basic techniques of computer and network security. This includes the development of strategies and tools for analyzing real IT systems, exploring their weaknesses, designing attack strategies and reasoning about possible defenses.
