Making strategic management decisions in a complex, competitive market environment is a key skill for future managers. In this course, students will practice strategic decision-making in a competitive service environment through a simulation game.
They will work in teams composed of individuals with different opinions and personalities to ultimately make a decision among numerous competing courses of action. The course utilises business simulations to provide students with real-world experience of various strategic challenges. From the perspective of a service organisation, students are challenged to implement their strategy by making a wide range of decisions in the areas of marketing, management, human resources, finance and asset management.
