The seminar offers an introduction to influential theories for the analysis of mediated communication (following on from Seminar Part I from the winter semester).

Module requirements: Seminar participants moderate a (partial) session. This includes the preparation and presentation of six to 15 presentation slides, handouts, or similar based on the text that serves as seminar reading for the session, with key text passages, definitions, and discussion points/questions. A final paper (12-15 pages, 1.5-line spacing) is written after successful completion of BOTH seminars (winter semester & summer semester) in this module.

The module grade results from points achieved in the final paper. The assessment of the paper will be based on an assessment rubric, which reflects class content, to ensure transparent grading expectations and will be transparent. In line with the TU Berlin's teaching mission statement (section on internationalization), students can complete moderations, presentations, and final papers in either German or English.
