The aim of this seminar is to prepare students to critically assess topics in behavioral economics, experimental economics and the economics of social sustainability, in particular from an empirical perspective. Seminar participants are expected to make presentations and write short pieces on topics related to the course. Beyond summarizing and evaluating the literature, the studies and empirical methods should be examined and critiqued to identify where gaps in knowledge exist. The students will reproduce the analysis of a selected study using the available data and code. They are expected to propose a small extension of the analysis and present the results. Developing and outlining own research ideas will be welcome.
