This course introduces the principles and practices of hardware security, based on real-world threats and countermeasures across the integrated circuit (IC) and system supply chain. Students will study attacks such as side-channel analysis, fault injection, hardware Trojans, and counterfeiting, as well as defenses like PUFs, TRNGs, and obfuscation techniques.
The course combines lectures and hands-on lab sessions with case studies and practical demonstrations to illustrate how hardware serves as the root of trust for secure systems.
