This seminar introduces CMS students to basic principles of research in the field of (historical) urban studies. Students will discuss the purpose and importance of scientific research and reflect upon the most important components of a master's thesis. The seminar’s content is divided into four complementary thematic blocks: I) Thesis Structure; II) Methodology and methods; III) Scientific Communication and Writing; IV) Ethics and Integrity.

This seminar is held in English and is open for CMS's master's students ONLY. Lessons include lectures and practical exercises (individual and in groups).
