In the wake of big data many companies have realized the potential of data as a resource. The skill of creating models which use large amounts of data to reach certain conclusions / make accurate predictions has become very valuable. There are many types of problems which can be solved with methods from classic non-parametric models up to modern machine learning models. In this course we will focus on regression problems where you will learn how to establish prediction models.
During the tutorials, the application and possibilities of each method will be showcased on live data by using the programming language Python. If you intend to write your thesis with focus on prediction models it will be of great benefit.
Basic knowledge of Python is highly recommended when taking this course.
