The continuous progress in the field of integrated nanoelectronic circuits and systems allows the integration of increasingly complex functionality with ever increasing operating speeds in a systems-on-chip approach.
The module "High-Frequency Data Converter Techniques" takes up this technological development and deals with the architecture, design and operation of high-frequency, high-precision analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), which are used for applications such as wireless infrastructure (WLAN). which are fundamental for application fields such as wireless infrastructure applications (e.g. LTE), transceiver systems for electro-optical applications (e.g. silicon photonics), low-power sensor systems for biomedical applications (e.g. nerve stimulation) or topics from automotive electronics or Internet-of-Things (IoT).
