This course belongs to 50684 Numerical Acoustics.

The aim of this course is twofold:

  1. Get a profound knowledge of the methods for numerical calculation of sound fields and the ability to select and implement the appropriate numerical method for a given acoustic problem.
  2. Gather some basic experience with a professional software tool (ACTRAN) for numerical acoustics computations.
The course will conclude with a graded homework (see below). This will serve as the exam.

This course will start as a classroom course ("Präsenz"). There two consecutive time slots per week: every Wednesday from 10-12 and from 12-14 in room HFT 131, starting from 17 April. Both slots may be used for lectures, exercises or a combination of both. For the second half of the lecture period, some weeks will have only one slot or even no classroom teaching. Instead, homework assignments will be supported on a one-by-one basis, if needed.
