Learning Outcomes

After the successful completion of the module the students:

  • know sectors contributing to GHG emissions and possible reduction potentials
  • be proficient in determining relevant mitigation measures specific for a certain sector or product
  • are able to determine the reduction potential of mitigation measures
  • be able to provide decision support for organizations and policy regarding which mitigation measures to select in line with current political targets
  • know the trade-offs of these measures with other sustainability aspects
  • have the ability to select compensation measures that are in line with current scientific research as well as supported by political instruments
