The class teaches the basics for the design, construction and testing of microsystems for application in RF systems, sensor nodes and others.
It conveys
application-specific methodologies and processes for the design of
integrated electronic systems with direct link to the respective
manufacturing technologies. Analytical and numerical methods are taught
in theory and applied in the practical part of the class. The focus is
on the electrical signal transmission and signal integrity. The
interaction of design/simulation and test is discussed and an overview
of the required tools during the entire process is provided.
The ISIS course is linked to the lecture 0431 L 712 and the practical exercise 0431 L 713 and will replace the courses as long as needed due to the Corona pandemic. Material will be added continuously. The lectures will be made available as screencasts. Discussion rounds will be held via video chat. The practical part will be based on open access simulation tools.
