The aim of the module is to provide fundamental knowledge of room acoustics. The following topics will be addressed:
acoustic criteria in rooms with different purposes
basic theories of sound fields in rooms
assessment and descriptors of room acoustics
basic strategies for room design and optimization
acoustic elements (reflectors, absorbers, and diffusers)
modelling in room acoustics
