Die Vorlesung + Seminare finden jeweils
Montags von 16:15 -18 Uhr und
Donnerstags von 16:15 -18 Uhr statt.
Start am 14.10.
Ort: Hörsaal TIB13B-B (montags), TIB21-C (donnerstags) in der Gustav-Meyer-Allee 25.
(Das Modul ist auch Teil des Moduls "Bioverfahrenstechnik I für Brauerei- und Getränkewesen")

[WiSe 2024/25] High Throughput Bioprocess Development I: robotics, active learning, and process optimization

Lecture times:
Lectures and exercises will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (first event on 17.10.2024, last on 30.01.2025). The events will partly be held online and partly in presence.
 
Location: Ackerstraße 76, 13355 Berlin, room Z20 (entry via staircase F)
 
Grading:
50 % homework (max. 10 homeworks, total ca. 30 h)
50 % oral exam (max. 20 min)
 
The oral exams take place on 04.02.205, 06.02.2025, 11.02.2025 and 13.02.2025.
 
Learning outcomes:
Robotic systems: The students will aquire a sound basic knowledge of automated screening, cultivation and process development methods for biotechnological production. They will be able to give an overview of the currently available liquid handling stations and their mode of operation. Additionally, they will create basic scripts functioning on liquid handling stations and assess their limits.
 
Modeling: The students will aquire basic programming skills (Python) and knowledge of version control (using GitLab). They will learn the basics of using models to represent, plan, monitor and control bioprocesses. The students will be able to combine the aquired knowledge, information from literature and their biotechnological knowledge to create small models.

[WiSe 2024/25] Masterkurse "Praktikum Bioprozesstechnik" und "Angewandte Biotechnologie aus Sicht der Bioverfahrenstechnik"

Die Module "Praktikum Bioprozesstechnik" und "Angewandte Aspekte der Biotechnologie aus Sicht der Bioverfahrenstechnik" sind jeweils ein 3-wöchiges Laborpraktikum im Fachgebiet Bioverfahrenstechnik. Es sollen den Studenten tiefere Einblicke in Fermentations- und Hochdurchsatztechniken bzw. die Modellierung biotechnologischer Prozesse und Analytik, sowie auch in molekularbiologische und biokatalytische Fragestellungen und Techniken vermittelt werden. Es wird in Gruppen von 2-3 Studenten an aktuellen Forschungsprojekten des FG BVT gearbeitet. Jede Gruppe wird von einem Doktoranden/Postdocs betreut.
