Welcome to our Managing Innovative Projects module - Summer Semester 2024!
In this project-based seminar, we focus on sustainability challenges, i.e., sustainable transformation & innovation, circular economy, and/or decarbonization. Student teams analyze potentials regarding the business model of Startups and sound out business opportunities regarding a (potential) customer or a market segment, assessing promising areas for action. Student teams will also provide recommendations to position a Startup and/ or the offering with sustainability demands. Welcome to our Fundamental of Project Management module - Serious Game Approach for the Summer Semester 2024!
In this revamped Fundamental of Project Management (Code: 70210) module, students will take the role of a project manager team steering a project from its definition to its task planning phase. The students will interact and perform different tasks related to the project guided by a serious game setting. This module is equivalent to 6 ECTS. The module is held in English.
Selection Criteria
- First-come, first-served.
- Capacity: In the Winter semester of 2023, the module capacity was 80 students. We reserve the right to increase or decrease the number of participants in our module due to room capacity. We estimate between 100-180 free spaces for this Summer semester. You will receive more information about the final number of free spaces in the upcoming weeks.
Registration process
- Please fill in the pre-registration form to apply for this course on the mentioned dates.
- On the 6th of March, we will publish on ISIS the list of selected students.
- From the 6th to the 17th of March those selected students must register directly on MOSES/QISPOS to officially be part of the module.
- If selected students cannot take part in the module, we kindly request them to inform us in due time to move students up on the waiting list.
- We strongly recommend that only selected students register officially on MOSES/QISPOS. We check the official list regularly and compare it with our list. Therefore, to guarantee a fair participation process, only selected students can take part in the module.
Important dates:
- Pre-enrollment registration: 14th of February at 13:00 CET to the 5th of March at 13:00 CET. (Fill in the Pre-enrollment form available on the ISIS module page on the 14th of February onwards)
- List of Selected Candidates: 6th of March 13:00 CET
- Registration for selected students on MOSES/QISPOS: 6th of March to 15th of March until 13:00 CET.
- Self-study before the gameplay: 6th of March onwards.
- Gameplay (Serious game): 8th of April - 12th of April
- Gameplay (Serious Game) time: 15:00 to 19:00 every day.
- Rooms: Several rooms on the ground floor of the MAR Building

- Online multiple-choice exam: 22nd of April from 13:00-14:00 CET.
