The Economics of Climate Policy is an introductory
course into the economics of climate change mitigation and adaptation
policies. Essentially, the mitigation of climate change is a global
public good, posing policy challenges both at the national level (within
countries) as well as at the international level (between countries).
Grading: Based
on weekly problem sets (homework assignments - 55% of final grade) and a
mid-term exam (45% of final grade); no final exam. Make sure you attend
the course from the beginning on, as we start with assignments
immediately. Ph.D. students will be asked to take an oral exam in
addition to the assignments and the mid-term exam. 6 ECTS are awarded
for the full course. If only the lecture is attended, 3 ECTS are
awarded.
Time and date: The lecture takes place on Fridays 14.15 – 15.45 at H 1012 ; the tutorial on Mondays 10.15 – 11.45 at BH-N 243.
Room changes: On January 12, the exam will take place in room H 0105; On January 26 and February 02, the lecture will take place in H 0107.
The first tutorial will be on the 16th of October. Due to time constraints, lecture and tutorials might switch. Please find the latest schedule on ISIS.
Registration: The official registration to the examination office is done through MOSES, or via e-mail with all required information for non-TU-Students. Additionally, we ask you to fill our internal registration form. For more information, please read our registration guide.

also welcome students from HU, FU, Potsdam, and Gasthörer (visiting
students). There is no restriction on Wahlfach- or Zusatzmodul-students.
