We are a student-led Education Technology (EdTech) platform at TU Berlin supervised by Prof. Søren Salomo (Chair  Technology & Innovation Management). Under the slogan “prototyping EdTech”, we develop technology-driven solutions in independent project groups to contribute to global educational challenges in schools, higher education and the labour market through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR).

The starting point are real world education challenges from university and corporate partners (last term: Stanford University, Elephant Company, and Nauturefit e.V.). The prototyping process is supported by impulse lectures from experts, mentoring, as well as expert interviews recorded by the students as a podcast. Last term we were supported by experts from big tech, startups, venture capital, academia, and consulting joining us from Berlin, Tel Aviv and Silicon Valley up to Sidney and London.

The focus is on the transformation of education and questions about how education is taught, perceived, financed or consumed. In other words, how technologies like AI or VR can support learning not only directly, but also indirectly by looking at organizations and institutions, parents and teachers, as well as employees and supervisors.

This is a selective and demanding course, only apply if you’re willing to commit and learn!  This course is for non-technical and technical students from later bachelors, to masters and auditing PhD! Applications by diverse teams (4-5 students) with prior project work experience are particularly welcomed.

Wir sind eine studentisch geführte EdTech-Plattform unter der Leitung von Prof. Søren Salomo (Lehrstuhl Technologie- und Innovationsmanagement). Unter dem Motto "Prototyping EdTech" entwickeln wir in Projektgruppen technologiegetriebene Lösungen, um mit Hilfe von Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) und Virtueller Realität (VR) einen Beitrag zu globalen Bildungsherausforderungen in Schulen, Hochschulen und auf dem Arbeitsmarkt zu leisten.

Ausgangspunkt sind reale Bildungsherausforderungen von Universitäts- und Unternehmenspartnern (letztes Semester: Stanford University, Elephant Company und Nauturefit e.V.). Unterstützt wird der Prototyping-Prozess durch Impulsvorträge von Experten, Mentoring sowie durch Experteninterviews, die von den Studierenden als Podcast aufgezeichnet werden. Im letzten Semester wurden wir von Experten aus Big Tech, Startups, Venture Capital, Wissenschaft und Beratung unterstützt, die von Berlin, Tel Aviv und Silicon Valley bis nach Sidney und London kamen.

Der Fokus liegt auf der Transformation von Bildung und Fragen, wie Bildung gelehrt, wahrgenommen, finanziert oder konsumiert wird. Mit anderen Worten: Wie kann KI oder VR das Lernen nicht nur direkt, sondern auch indirekt unterstützen, indem sie Organisationen und Institutionen, Eltern und Lehrer sowie Mitarbeiter und Vorgesetzte in den Blick nimmt.
