Eine vor kurzem aufgegebene Gärtnerei („Blumen Liebe“) soll zu einem Wohnquartier mit kleinerem Einzelhandel und ge- meinschaftlichen Nutzungen entwickelt werden. Das Gelände liegt zentral in der Gemeinde Neuenhagen, direkt an der Berliner Stadtgrenze. In der wachsenden Gemeinde wird Wohnraum benötigt, gleichzeitig muss der Gartenstadt-Charakter sensibel weiterentwickelt werden.
Wir werden eine Art „kooperativen Wettbewerb“ organisieren. Die Arbeit findet im Studio an einem großen gemeinsamen Mo- dell statt und wird intensiv betreut. Weniger steht der Konkur- renzgedanke im Vordergrund als das Erarbeiten einer breiten Palette von Vorschlägen, auf Grund derer die Gemeinde das Grundstück weiter entwickeln wird.
Wie im Wettbewerb üblich gibt es ein Preisgeld (das wir aber zum Teil solidarisch an alle auszahlen) und eine hochkarätig be- setzte Jury (Prof. Nanni Grau von Hütten und Paläste,
Prof. Tobias Hönig von c/o now, Prof. Jan Polivka vom ISR, TU Berlin), die uns im Prozess teilweise begleiten wird.
Den Abschluss im Spätsommer bildet eine Präsentation und Ausstellung vor Ort. In einem kleinen integrierten Design-Build- Ausstellungsprojekt werden wir dazu ein Gebäude der Gärtnerei vorbereiten.

The practical part of the Keep Walking seminar series will lead us to the city Kopenhagen, where we immerse ourselves in various walking practices. Please note: the field trip will take place in September 2023.
There will be 3-4 preliminary workshops (face-to-face in the architecture building) during the lecture period. You will also be asked to contribute to the preparation of the trip via ISIS. The precise dates of the workshops and of the trip are subject to joint coordination.

The task is an introduction to Kopenhagen but at the same time a precondition for participation.

The act of walking has regained significance as a social phenomenon in the 21st century. Walking as a practice can be everyday physical locomotion, a method of sensual experience of (urban) landscapes, tactical protest, part of surrealist art production, and many more.
In this seminar we will illuminate the very different facets of the walking practice, question their impact on architectural practice and design and will then implement and document our own walks in Berlin.

Mit filmischen Mitteln und künstlerischen Interventionen soll die Wirkmächtigkeit von Orten erforscht werden. Auf Exkursionen in Berlin und ausserhalb sollen Räume und Orte gesucht werden, die von aktiven Merkwürdigkeiten geprägt sind bzw. die vital ihr Umfeld prägen. Künstlerische Forschung soll als eine Form der Wissensproduktion genutzt werden, um diese Wechselwirkungen zu verdeutlichen, mit filmischen Mitteln zu erfassen und ein kollektives Video-projekt zu realisieren.
