Molecular Imprinting Technology and molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs); Covalent, semi-covalent and non-covalent imprinting approaches; Production methods of MIPs such as monolith, precipitation, solid phase, covalent attachment, metal-coordination; MIPs as recognition elements in many fields from environmental toxicology to medical diagnostics; Major differences between small and large target imprinting; Application areas of MIPs; Use of molecular modelling approaches to improve the success of MIPs while decreasing the required cost and time; SYBLY and VMD/NAMD computational programs for virtual screening of a compound of interest to be imprinted. The course will be taught in English.
