In den kommenden Jahrzehnten wird sich auf unserem Planeten einiges verändern. Klimawandel, Bevölkerungswachstum, neue Technologien und politische Machtverschiebungen sind nur einige der zu nennenden Faktoren. Im Rahmen der neuen Projektwerkstatt ZUKUNFTSWERKSTATT wollen wir uns ab dem kommenden Semester inhaltlich mit den auftretenden Themen der nächsten Jahre auseinander setzen und gemeinsam überlegen, wo dabei unsere Handlungskompetenzen liegen: Welchen Beitrag können wir leisten? Wie wollen und können wir uns in das Geschehen der nächsten Jahre einbringen? Welche Verantwortung haben wir und wie können wir mit dieser Verantwortung umgehen?

Learning Outcomes

After completion of the module, students will be familiar with the basics of operative project management. They will be able to plan, implement, supervise and monitor complex interdisciplinary tasks while obtaining knowledge about the diverse organization possibilities of project management, the steering of teams as well as the requirements and tasks of project managers. Basic planning techniques of project management like project structure plan and schedule and resource planning as well as the application of diverse methods of planning, steering and monitoring of processes on the basis of network analysis as well as first experiences through practical industry experiences also belong to the basic portfolio of this module.

Content

The character of the lecture is interdisciplinary, aimed for students of the disciplines of industrial engineering, business administration, engineering and natural sciences. The lecture will be structured as follows: - Organization and tasks of project management - Project teams and project responsibility - Project structuring, phases of the project, milestones - Project planning, tools for project planning (Gantt, etc.), basics of network planning - Project risk analysis - Project execution, controlling and completion The exercise on project management is oriented to training and deepening the methods of project planning and controlling presented in the lecture. More in-depth knowledge about those methods will be acquired in a practical-case study. For this task, students will learn to use specific project management tools.

All students who registered to the course in the first week of the winter term have received a Mail to their @campus.tu-berlin.de mailbox concerning admission to the course. Please check your mails there regularly, or activate forwarding to your preferred mail address.
We already received more applications than we can handle due to the max. capacity of 50 master students. If you did not attend the kick-off session and did not fill out the participation questionnaire, we cannot offer any further places in our course.
